Yep, gas. For the car. See after Hurricane Ike, the Atlanta Metro area was suffering a huge gas crisis. It seems the lawmakers mandated that a special type of gas additive be used in the area to decrease pollution. That additive was affected by Hurricane Ike. So one day when I noticed I was on "e", but didn't notice the gas shortage, I was driving around, on a few gallons I had left. I was looking for a gas station that was open that actually had gas. After I found this remote gas station (20 minutes later) there was a line out into the street and around the corner. A wait of at least 1 hour. I decided to blow it off. (John was able to get gas 10:30 at night with a 20 minute wait.) And for nearly 3 weeks this was how things were. We were paying $4.75 for gas that you had to wait 45min. - 1 hour to get. Meanwhile all those cars driving and idling their engines....doing what, polluting! Yea, great policy! So finally we have gas and guess what I just paid $2.50 a galloon. More than a $2.00 difference. Go figure!
